LINER NOTES //

"MIASMA" is the opening track of our second EP "VESSEL" and – with 14 minutes in length – it is our longest song yet.

One day our good friend and fellow musician BLCKSMTH offered us to add some of his signature electronic sounds and patterns, to enrich the soundscapes and overall atmosphere. And with his background in hardcore vocals, he could join in there, too.

We could not say "No" and therefore this alternative version of "MIASMA" was born.

Shaped by the seed that corrupts the soil, the heart of the blossom will play its part.
Brought by the winds and the waters, it injures the lungs that breathe for all.

Will it be known where it all came from?
So the fate in our acts can once be shunned.

May we see that we are, all of what we are. Made to be not all light nor dark.
May we see that we're not her death, merely a pest. A treat is shown. Heat may sear the nest.
In this motion of all, our role is minimal. And all we take, we only take from us - until it's gone.

I see the hubris in me.
So our mind has taught, we're in need to claim, that our being's able to understand the way.
But we don't set the order and senescence will seize us.
So long. All even. Said and done.

No way else, 'cause given was this path. The deed forms what will be.
Silenced for good. Evanescent for good. To show we won't be those to put an end to her.

Is it the urge to rule the cell, to trick the shadow, be never still; that made the ego and let us believe, in all that is, it's us who differ? Lo behold.
Can an act have an aim, if the aim of all is hidden? Is it ours to vow? Is it ours to seal? Not the truth. Not forever.

What gave us life took care of all, we can be sure all suffering ends.

Smile. All weight will leave you one day.
Timed. All matter's bound to decay.
Confined. Lost in our sense of life.
Done. All might will cut us to size.
